Welcome to the agent platform research briefing for Friday, July 10th, 2026.
**OpenClaw 2026.7.1-beta.3 shipped** โ A new beta tag appeared on the OpenClaw GitHub repo this week, continuing the 2026.7.1 series that began with the GPT-5.6 support update. The 2026.7.1 beta series added GPT-5.6 model family support, the ClawRouter bundled provider plugin with credential-scoped dynamic model discovery and managed budget reporting, Telegram Codex pairing and steering, event-driven cron runs, the external harness attach flow, iOS 26 visual refresh, and iMessage poll support. ClawRouter is the headline feature โ it gives OpenClaw native multi-provider routing across OpenAI-compatible, Anthropic, and Gemini transports. The project continues its rapid maturation on GitHub with over 382,000 stars and thousands of open issues and PRs.
**Claude Opus 4.7 goes generally available** โ Anthropic has released Claude Opus 4.7, the latest increment in the Opus line, now GA across the API and claude.ai. Opus 4.7 brings improved software engineering and complex coding capabilities, enhanced vision with higher resolution image processing, and fixes for a bug where Opus 4.7 sessions were computing context against 200K tokens instead of its native one-million-token window. The model introduces the stop_details object on refusal responses, letting applications categorize different types of declined requests. Claude Code also got meaningful updates: a /doctor checkup that diagnoses and fixes environment issues automatically, /commit-push-pr now auto-allows pushes to the configured remote, Claude Platform on AWS added as a failover provider, and background agents that auto-commit, push, and open draft PRs when work is complete. Opus 4.7 is Anthropic's direct response to last week's GPT-5.6 launch.
**Anthropic expands the workspace โ beyond code** โ Claude Cowork is now available on web and mobile in addition to desktop, running background sessions remotely. Anthropic's own data shows 90% of Cowork sessions are non-coding, so the coding agent wars are spilling into general office productivity. The Microsoft 365 connector now goes beyond read-only search โ with admin consent, Claude can draft and send emails, manage calendars, and update OneDrive and SharePoint files. Claude also gets monthly usage recaps showing topics, active days, and peak hours, plus configurable break reminders and quiet hours. And enterprise model entitlements are now in beta, letting admins control which models and effort levels users can access โ a governance answer to shadow AI concerns.
That's the briefing for Friday, July 10th, 2026.
