**Anthropic export ban shakes AI industry** — Day six of the ban and the story keeps evolving. Reuters confirmed Google gave Shazeer's departure a "grateful for Noam's meaningful contributions" statement the same day Anthropic opened a Seoul office and vowed Fable 5 models would be back online within days. The Information reports the export order has set off alarms beyond Anthropic — if the government can force a global model shutdown for foreign nationals without specific details, the precedent extends to everyone. The Fable 5 system prompt leak on GitHub — 120,000 characters — makes enforcement practically moot. Anthropic argues the same jailbreak works on OpenAI's GPT-5.5, which isn't subject to the controls. **Vercel launches eve — Next.js for AI agents** — Launched yesterday at Ship 26 in London, eve is an open-source TypeScript agent framework in public beta. Vercel calls it "the Next.js for agents." The framework handles durable workflow checkpoints, sandboxed compute, human-in-the-loop approval gates, sub-agent spawning, cross-channel deployment, and model routing with provider fallback through Vercel AI Gateway.
